Welcome to Hockwell Ring Amateur Boxing Club (HRABC)

We’re a boxing club based in the heart of Luton’s community, opened & run by local people for local people. As a local boxing club we have one central aim, getting our local young people actively involved in sport and giving them a channel for their negative energies. Developing boxers is obviously key to what we do however we are a local friendly gym who open our doors and arms to ANYONE who walks through them. The club has been running since 2004 and has since gone from strength to strength with us recently being fortunate to move to new premises. Our old premises at the community centre served us well but we are now delighted to be on the road to bigger and better things.

WE STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM NOW WERE HERE!

On Saturday 7th September at the iconic York Hall our very own golden boy, founding member, coach, committee member and all-round inspiration made history BUT not just for the club. Kay became Lutons very first English champion after his emphatic rematch win over Sam O’Maison. Kay has lead from the front and inspired us all from day one throughout his exciting amateur career and likewise through his work outside of the ring and a teacher, coach and family man. All of us at HRABC are buzzing that Kay has finally got the strap and recognition he so rightly deserves and we cant wait to see what the future holds for our very own champ. Kay really does epitomise all we try to instil in our young people.

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
