The Club

We’re a boxing club based in the heart of Luton’s community, opened & run by local people for local people. As a local boxing club we have one central aim, getting our local young people actively involved in sport and giving them a channel for their negative energies.

Developing boxers is obviously key to what we do however we are a local friendly gym who open our doors and arms to ANYONE who walks through them. The club has been running since 2004 and has since gone from strength to strength. Our old premises at the community centre served us well but we are now delighted to be on the road to bigger and better things.

The driving force behind the gym is a group of passionate, enthusiastic local people who have all grown up locally and have a passion for boxing and our community, seeing the club thrive is genuinely what makes them tick.

One of our coaches Paul Webb was monumental in the initial opening of HRABC and in 2007 was even nominated and shortlisted for the BBC Unsung Hero of the year award. His passion for the club and the s-port is second to none and without him on board the club would just not function.

Our Head coach Alan Baptiste has also an unquestionable passion for the sport and tirelessly drives on the kids to bigger and better things. Alan has an enthusiasm and passion that never seems to fail and can always be found in the gym. There are few coaches better qualified than Alan and had a fantastic Amateur career only second to his pro career.
